Roles and Responsibilities

The Board serves as the bridge between the membership and the cooperative’s professional leadership. Their primary functions include:

• Strategic Governance: Approving the policies that govern our staff and operations while collaborating with the CEO on long-term strategic planning and annual goal-setting.
• Financial Stewardship: Reviewing and approving the annual operating budget to ensure the corporation remains fiscally sound and efficient.
• Performance Monitoring: Providing rigorous oversight by reviewing administrative, financial, and marketing reports to track the organization’s progress.
• Executive Leadership: Appointing the CEO, conducting annual performance reviews, and determining executive compensation.
• Committee Service: Participating in specialized committees to provide focused input on key functional areas of the cooperative.
