HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY DEMONSTRATION

Power line safety is critically important to our linemen, and the community.

Always presume that power lines are live whether they are on utility poles or lying on the ground. Never touch a power line.

Our high voltage safety demonstration is a program developed for students, emergency personnel, or any other organization interested in promoting safety. The audience will see firsthand what happens when trees fall through power lines, balloons make contact with overhead equipment and high voltage wires are downed on automobiles.

The line crew will effectively demonstrate what happens when an individual comes into contact with 7,200 volts of electricity, which usually proves fatal. This display was designed with the same equipment used by Hendricks Power Cooperative.

The demonstration typically runs 30-60 minutes long. Please complete the form below if you are interested in scheduling a High Voltage Safety Demonstration. *Subject to availability.
