HPC Sponsors Cybersecurity Luncheon with Hendricks County Senior Services

On Tuesday, October 8th, Hendricks Power provided more than 100 seniors with a boxed lunch from Chick-fil-A and an opportunity to learn about cybersecurity. The Hendricks Power IT team discussed the importance of password strength, multifactor authentication, and gave tips on how to spot telephone and email scams.

Staying safe online can be challenging as technology and scams develop each day. With so much sensitive information online, we've compiled a few tips from our IT Department at Hendricks Power on how members can stay safe online.

USE STRONG & UNIQUE PASSWORDS
We suggest creating passwords that are 16 characters long. Your password on each site should be different. We highly encourage using a password manager! It can remember all of your usernames and passwords for you.
