Hendricks Power, CoBank, and Operation Round Up Donate to Community Organizations

Sharing Success Matching Grants
Hendricks Power Cooperative announced that CoBank has matched three donations to support local organizations. Hendricks Power and CoBank each donated $1,500 to the Danville Shared Blessings Food Pantry, $1,000 to the Avon Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry, and $2,500 to the Hendricks Co. Fairgrounds for midway lighting upgrades.
Each year, Hendricks Power nominates local organizations for CoBank’s Sharing Success program. The program matches the charitable contributions of CoBank’s customers up to $10,000. Sharing Success was established in 2012 to celebrate the International Year of the Cooperative. Since the program’s inception, CoBank and its customers have provided more than $76 million in support to charitable organizations nationwide.

Operation Round Up Donations
On behalf of Hendricks Power Cooperative and its members, a donation of $1,500 was made to Meals on Wheels of Hendricks County to provide hot nutritious meals to seniors and others with disabilities or chronic illnesses. A donation of $2,500 was also made to A&A Township Volunteer Fire Dept. to purchase a small boat and equipment for water rescue and safety training.
Operation Round-Up is a voluntary fundraising program that lets members round up their energy bill to the next whole dollar. The difference is then deposited into the Operation Round-Up Funds at the Hendricks and Putnam Co. Community Foundations. Together, Hendricks Power and the Community Foundation determine the most appropriate uses to benefit the community.
