Can It Wait 'Til 8? - Winter Edition

Can It Wait Until 8?

The new time of use rate makes using energy after 8 pm worth the wait.

As winter approaches, we want to help you maximize your savings potential by shifting your energy use away from higher-priced hours. All it takes is some planning and attention to your energy use. During On Peak hours (5-8 pm weeknights) you will want to avoid using major home appliances, such as your dishwasher, clothes washer, or dryer if possible. During this time, the demand for energy is high, which means higher generation costs and higher prices. You’ll pay significantly less for energy all other hours, including weekends and observed holidays.

You can monitor your energy use throughout the month in SmartHub to track when you are using the most energy and make changes if needed. Below are a few easy tips to help reduce your On Peak usage and still stay cozy this winter!  For more money-saving ideas and information about the rate update, please visit hendrickspower.com/rate-update.
