Coloring Contest Winner

Hendricks Power Cooperative announces the winner of its Coloring Contest, a new initiative designed to inspire creativity and connect with the cooperative's youngest members.

Earlier this fall, Hendricks Power invited children ages 2–12 to participate by coloring a festive lineworker-themed design. The contest received 54 creative submissions from children across our service area. After an employee vote, Austen A., a 6-year-old from Avon, was selected as the winner. The talented young artist received an arts-and-crafts basket valued at $200, and their artwork will be featured on HPC's 2025 holiday cards.

"We are impressed by the creativity and enthusiasm shown by these young artists," said Emily Thomas, Manager of Communications at Hendricks Power. "The Coloring Contest reflects Hendricks Power's ongoing commitment to youth involvement and community engagement."

Through educational programs, sponsorships, and outreach initiatives, the cooperative strives to support local families and empower the next generation of creative thinkers and community leaders. Hendricks Power extends its appreciation to all participants and parents who helped make the contest a success.
