Indiana’s Energy Price Inquiry: Why Co-ops Stand Apart

While regulatory oversight plays an important role in the energy industry, our cooperative model provides a built-in system of accountability. As a not-for-profit governed by a democratically elected board of directors - member-owners just like you- we maintain accountability directly to the people we serve. Our rates are approved by our local board of directors.
Hendricks Power approved a rate update to better reflect the true cost of providing reliable, affordable power. Even with this adjustment, our rates remain among the most affordable compared to national averages and investor-owned energy providers per kilowatt hour.
As a cooperative, our responsibility is to offer transparency and support for our members. If you have questions about your bill, need to arrange a payment plan, or would like a free energy audit for your home, please call us at (317) 745-5473.
