Youth Tour Application Deadline

Calling all High School Juniors! You are eligible to attend and be selected by Hendricks Power to participate in a week-long trip to Washington, D.C. Indiana will send a delegation of approximately 85 students from throughout the state.
Students participating in the trip will visit the Gettysburg Battlefield, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian museums, tour the Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorials, take a night cruise on the Potomac River, and much more. 

The Indiana Youth Tour students will also participate in a youth rally hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), during which they will share their thoughts and opinions on a variety of timely issues. The youth rally will prepare the students for a day on Capitol Hill, where they will have an opportunity to meet with Indiana’s congressional delegation. 

Indiana's electric cooperatives have hosted the Youth Tour since 1960. 

Applications for the 2026 Tour are now open and are due by February 13, 2026. The trip will take place June 14-21, 2026.
