2022 Annual Meeting Voting

All Hendricks Power members are eligible to win one of five $500 bill credits in exchange for voting in our board of directors election. You can vote online through SmartHub or at our annual meeting, at the Hendricks Co. 4-H Fair on Thursday, July 21, 11 am - 6 pm. 

VOTING

To ensure all members have the chance to vote, Hendricks Power will be offering online and day-of voting for our board of directors election. Election results will be announced at the business meeting on July 21, 2022. All participating members will receive a chance to win one of five $500 bill credits.

- Cast your vote for areas 1, 2, and 3. Please note, that there is a link that allows members to view bios of candidates for those interested.
- Once your ballot is confirmed, press "Continue" and check the box that constitutes an electronic signature.

ANNUAL MEETING

Members and their families can submit the parking pass found in their invitation (email or physical) to attend the 4-H fair for free. Please note, that you will need a PRINTED parking pass; showing the pass on your phone will not qualify. Once admitted, members can vote at the Sponsor of the Day Pavilion. Members will receive $10 in fair food vouchers to use at any food vendor on July 21. Members who have voted online will receive fair food vouchers. 

CANDIDATES

AREA 1

Brent Shay HeadshotBRENT SHAY, CANDIDATE

Brent Shay and his wife Terri have been residents of Hendricks County and customers of the Hendricks Power Cooperative for over 37 years. Shay is seeking election in Area 1. Shay is currently a Sales Executive for Eby-Brown, a PFG company with operations in Plainfield. He has over 45 years of progressively responsible sales, P&L management, and leadership experience in the wholesale distribution industry. 
Shay currently serves as President of the Hendricks County Building Facilities Corporation, is Treasurer for the Indiana Wholesale Distributors Association, and serves as Precinct Committeeman for Guilford Township. He supports the activities of Meals on Wheels and Active Grace Food Pantry locally.
Brent and Terri are active members of Plainfield Christian Church. They raised their two children, Monica and Blake, in the Plainfield school system.  They enjoy outdoor activities, supporting the increasing number of local businesses and events, and spending as much time as they can with their four grandchildren. 


 

AREA 2

Andy LynchANDY LYNCH, INCUMBENT

Andy Lynch is the incumbent director seeking re-election in Area 2. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. While attending Purdue, Lynch worked at the cooperative as a summer employee. After graduation, he took a job with Himsel Brothers Grain and Livestock, where he is presently employed. Lynch has served on the Hendricks Power Cooperative Board of Directors since 1998 and is currently the Board President. 

 

 

 

 

AREA 3

Matt HessionMATT HESSION, INCUMBENT

Matt Hession is the incumbent director seeking re-election in Area 3. He is a native of Brownsburg where he graduated from Brownsburg High School. He farms with his brother, raising corn, soybeans and hay. 
Hession has been a member of the cooperative for 33 years, and was appointed to the board of directors in 1993 where he currently serves as vice president. Matt and his wife, Debbie, have three children and are
active members of St. Malachy church in Brownsburg.
